He described it as a place of divine perfection, where there will be no need for the sun or moon because God Himself will illuminate it. “Nothing mortal, nothing human, nothing natural will dwell in that city,” he declared, referencing Revelation 21:4, which speaks of a world free from pain, suffering, and death.
Emphasizing the transformation believers must undergo to enter the eternal kingdom, Jennings quoted 1 Corinthians 15:53: “For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.” He encouraged his audience to strive for this transformation, stating that temporary sufferings and afflictions on earth are nothing compared to the eternal reward awaiting the faithful.
A Stern Warning Against False Prophets and Deception
Turning his attention to modern spiritual leaders and influencers, Jennings issued a stern warning about those who distort biblical truths. He referenced biblical figures who had seen God in visions, such as Moses and Jacob, reinforcing that divine revelation is reserved for those who are spiritually prepared.
Using 1 Kings 22:19-23, he illustrated how God allowed a lying spirit to deceive King Ahab, leading to his downfall. Jennings warned that many so-called spiritual leaders today fall into this category, leading people astray with false doctrines. “God allowed a spirit to volunteer to deceive Ahab so that prophecy could be fulfilled. Many today are similarly being deceived because they reject the truth,” he proclaimed.
A Call to True Christian Faith
Jennings concluded by urging believers to remain steadfast in true Christian doctrine. “Not everyone who claims to be a Christian is worthy of the name,” he asserted, cautioning against the influence of popular figures who mix secular ideology with spiritual teachings. He reiterated that the ultimate prize is not worldly success but eternal life, referencing 1 Corinthians 9:24: “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.”
