The Milwaukee Bucks were on the wrong end of some terrible news on Wednesday night after it was revealed that Thanasis Antetokounmpo had suffered a potentially career-threatening Achilles injury. The 31-year-old will reportedly have to undergo surgery to address the issue, and he will certainly be forced to sit out a significant amount of time as he recovers from one of the most serious injuries a player can sustain.

At this point, the fans have the same burning question running through their minds regarding this disastrous turn of events.

It was league insider Shams Charania who first broke the news on X, formerly Twitter, on Wednesday night. The renowned NBA guru did not provide much details on the nature of the injury, as well as how exactly Thanasis suffered the same.

This is exactly why the fans on X have been asking the same question:

Up and until we get more details on the nature of Thanasis’ injury, you can expect the same line of questioning from the fans.

Thanasis Antetokounmpo Savagely Clowned on X

Given that Antetokounmpo will turn 32 this summer, coupled with the fact that he is far from an important player on the squad, there is a possibility that this could be a career-ending injury for the 6-foot-7 forward. Thanasis will be a free agent this summer, and it’s hard to imagine the Bucks offering him an extension while knowing that he will likely miss a big chunk, if not all of the 2024-25 season.

Be that as it may, this hasn’t stopped the haters from savagely trolling Thanasis amid his undesirable predicament.

The internet can be a truly cruel place at times.
